What a Project is and why you want one
You've been pasting your voice example and your rules into every chat. This module ends that. A Project is a home base where Claude already knows your business.
The re-explaining tax
Every workflow you saved in the last module starts the same way: paste the template, paste your voice example, paste the context. It works, but you're paying a little tax every time, and the tax adds up. Worse, the day you skip the pasting because you're busy is the day the output goes generic again.
A Project fixes this. It's a feature built into claude.ai: a workspace with two permanent things attached. Instructions, which is text Claude reads at the start of every chat inside the Project. And files, your documents, loaded once and available in every conversation. Open a chat inside your Project and Claude already knows who you are, how you sound, and what you sell.
Where to find it
- In claude.ai, look for Projects in the sidebar.
- Click new Project and give it a name. That's it, it exists.
- Inside you'll see a place for instructions and a place for files. The next two lessons fill each one properly.
Plans and limits change, so if something looks different on your screen, poke around or check Claude's help pages. The idea stays the same: instructions plus files, attached permanently.
Plan your Project before you build it
Before filling anything in, get a picture of what belongs there. You already built the ingredients in this course. This prompt takes stock:
I run {your business} and I'm setting up a Claude Project so I stop re-explaining myself in every chat.
Interview me, one question at a time, to figure out: what I do, who my customers are, how I like to sound, and what facts I repeat constantly (prices, policies, hours).
After the interview, give me two lists: what my Project instructions should cover, and which documents I should upload as files.
